Just asking a question here. During the DHS advertising controversy, a company called *Safe America’ reportedly received around $143 million and had only been incorporated about 11 days before the contract. Now Kristi Noem has been moved into leadership of a brand-new initiative that was created the same day she was appointed to it.

Maybe there’s a reasonable explanation, but situations where new entities suddenly handle large public responsibilities or large sums of taxpayer money tend to raise eyebrows. Transparency matters when public funds and public trust are involved.

So let me see if I’m understanding this correctly.

A program receives hundreds of millions of dollars from the Department of Homeland Security after being newly created. Then the same person overseeing that department is removed from the position… and on the very same day a brand-new role — “Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas” — suddenly appears, and she’s placed into it.

So the timeline looks like this:

New program created →
Hundreds of millions of dollars moved →
Position reshuffled →
Brand-new government job created →
Same person placed into the new role.

And we’re supposed to just nod and say this is normal?

@LASHYBILLS @FearedBuck Her response made it worse. Under HIPAA, patient videos are considered Protected Health Information (PHI) and must be handled with strict confidentiality. Healthcare providers must obtain explicit consent before recordin or sharing patient videos. Not from patients.

@_dawnmontgomery That’s the problem with black folks. We are quick to bring another black person down. @DeionSanders put a lot of attention of HBCU GAMES on the map nationally. The ratings will tell the story. Don’t forget this was there first celebration championship in school history.
