..as for me, give me liberty or give me death - Myself

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@realpatrickhen1 I just got a DM from my dude Daniel Defoe. He said "Rights are important, especially women's right to an education."

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 why should the social contract make us suffer like this? We're unjustly losing our money because of their irrational actions

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@defdanman Yes! A more educated society will improve the general ability of the people

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

I need more feedback please (comment on the quoted tweet, not this one) https://t.co/ZNyjBCN0MD

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

Our justification in revolting is looking at the past. Have the British EVER decided that they would just give us our rights?

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@t_jeffery1743 Yes! Religious freedom is also important to the social stability of a nation

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@JFederouseau man CAN have benefit in civilization if the government allows him to

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@JFederouseau so you're saying that man is free but the government is not allowing them to be?

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@JFederouseau a corrupt leader would likely not be experienced, or at least have positive feedback with those experiences

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@adam_smith938 religion can create more social issues and conflict than the economy though

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@adam_smith938 if a person is interested in leading, it is good because he will likely do well at something he is passionate about

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@JohnLoc08238396 as long as that government isn't bad like the Britisih

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@JFederouseau @jjrousseau36 hmm..the general idea of the general will makes sense though, because it gives most people what they want

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@TPaine_1737 Yes, of course the central government needs some power, but if it takes away people's rights, it is not efficient

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 anything that allows the government to limit the people's rights is not good

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 the government should not be able to control people

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 wouldn't going against the general will and being free be a good thing?

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 but too strong of a government will end up like how the British treated us Americans

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@jjrousseau36 as long as the authority doesn't take people's rights like those crazy Brits

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@SmithAdams27 educated people can make better political decisions

[Patrick Henry @realpatrickhen1]

@TPaine_1737 Great Britain is oppressing us, we must fight if we want freedom
