Analyn Ratonel, kinikilala mismo ng Philippine-approved consular district of the Chinese Consulate General in Laoag ang Batanes bilang bahagi ng Pilipinas.

LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) tanks for delivery at a store in Manila on Friday (July 10, 2026). The Bureau of Internal Revenue said the excise tax rates on kerosene and LPG will return to the rates prescribed under the National Internal Revenue Code, following the drop in Dubai crude oil prices. The average Dubai crude oil price for June, based on the Mean of Platts Singapore, is down to USD79.45 per barrel, below the USD80 per barrel threshold under a previous executive order. The three-month suspension of excise taxes cost the government approximately P2.5 billion in lost revenues according to Finance Secretary Frederick Go. | PNA photos by Yancy Lim
