We have contact.
Our first flight demonstration satellite is safed, sun-pointing and in contact with our Mission Operations team. Years of work across CesiumAstro, now in space.
Next: commissioning and mission validation. This is just the beginning.

MAKE MORE IN AMERICA. 🇺🇸🚀
Today, EXIM signed a $280M credit agreement with @CesiumAstro, the largest loan approval under our Make More in America initiative to date.
The investment is expanding advanced manufacturing in Texas, strengthening America’s industrial base, and creating 500+ well-paying American jobs.
Tonight, Florida State plays the school they claimed added no value to ACC and hurt the league's strength of schedule. Then, proceeded to lose to them 42-16 in their first game. The same school that has far less enrollment, but over twice the endowment.
Should be a good game.
#SMUMustangs @SMUFB
In 2019, @stroupe and I co-invested in a 2-year-old space company with around a dozen employees.
7 years later, @CesiumAstro has:
• Secured $470 million in new growth capital
• Acquired two companies
• Booked eight SpaceX rideshares
• Filed to operate a 737-satellite constellation
It's also committed $500 million to expand its Texas HQ and manufacturing facility.
Our thesis was simple:
• There will be more satellites
• They all need to communicate
• CesiumAstro builds the standardized hardware connecting them
Founder Shey Sabripour had spent 20+ years at Lockheed Martin and served as CTO of Firefly Space Systems.
He saw that many next-generation operators wouldn't have Lockheed-sized budgets or engineering teams.
They needed reliable systems they could buy and integrate without launching a multiyear development program.
Shey was building that.
Richard is a good friend and we frequently co-invest in things. We meet up regularly for a steak and talk through ideas, mainly in defense and tech. We don't always arrive at the same reasoning, but two independent lines of thought landed on the same answer.
Since then, CesiumAstro has:
• Acquired Vidrovr for real-time AI analysis of comms signals
• Acquired Jariet Technologies for specialized RF chip design
• Filed an FCC application for a proposed network of 737 satellites
It's also begun a major expansion of its Bee Cave, Texas HQ (nearly 270,000 square feet of manufacturing space) with 550 expected jobs to bring its growth to over 1,000 employees by 2030.
CesiumAstro started by building communications components for other people's satellites.
Now it is bringing semiconductor design, AI, phased arrays, payloads, software, satellites, and manufacturing under one roof.
An early investment thesis doesn't need to anticipate every turn a company will take.
What it does need is a durable problem, a market positioned for meaningful expansion, and a founder with the experience and ambition to expand alongside it.
Those three elements were clear to us in 2019.
Welcome @JarietTech to the @CesiumAstro team.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of CesiumAstro, Jariet brings world-class mmWave RF System-on-Chip (RF-SoC) technology, delivering highly integrated solutions for SATCOM, electronic warfare, and radar applications across space, aerospace, and defense.
Backed by @CesiumAstro's resources, Jariet customers can expect continuity, deep expertise, and faster time to market.

2007. Biden is asked if he were President, would he allow sanctuary cities to exist. His answer was NO. He said that sanctuary cities turn into dumps and the only reason they exist is because the Federal government doesn't enforce the law.
