Once you stop demanding that everyone should permanently match your picture of “good”, you start seeing people more as they actually are... and paradoxically, you become less disappointed.
Most of the time when we label someone “bad”, what we’re really feeling is the shock of disappointed expectations. We projected an image of who we thought they should be, and when reality didn’t match, we called them evil.
