Did a series of 90W left atrial ablation cases this week using QDot - the first time this technology has been used in Scotland. Love the little footballs and, appropriate for the time of year, I think this picture looks a bit like a reindeer!

🐺 Looked para-hisian from the ECG, so opted to use mapping. Pathway clearly identified using 🪟 & far enough from the His. Removed with ablation at the pink spot (nice bipolar signal here which was significantly pre-delta). @FeatonbyLuke, @AdemK0C, @Tina2310

Raised in #PMQs today the case of Dr John Stephens, whose remarkable recovery from a serious stroke demonstrates unequivocally why access to mechanical thrombectomy must be expanded. It's a genuine gamechanger.
