Although scripture calls it a kingdom, the word is often because of the exerted dominion they exact through ignorance and sin

So kingdom of darkness does not point to an established kingdom with a king but it points to a rebel state that exerts dominion on men (hence the word)

Darkness is an illegitimate Kingdom, they don’t have legal authority to establish a throne (King)

Satan been the Prince of this world is the apex of dark spiritual hierarchy, so this is why he is prince and not King 👑
