🚨Major Deal Incoming! 🚨
Something BIG is on the horizon for sport fans and collectors alike! A game-changing agreement is about to reshape the way collectibles are distributed—bringing exclusive, must-have items to more hands than ever before.
Stay tuned for the official announcement, because this deal is set to revolutionize the market in ways you won’t want to miss! 👀🏆
You're at a rave and nature's knocking. Loudly. And wouldn't you know it, the only beacon of hope on the festival horizon is a DIXI. Joy.
Yes, it smells like a week-old gym sock marinated in regret. No, there's not a square of TP to be found (because of course there isn't). And the lock? Honey, that's less a lock and more a suggestion.
But hey, what are your choices? Commune with nature au naturel? Risk a bladder explosion in the mosh pit? Didn't think so. So, you grit your teeth, lower yourself onto the plastic throne, and pray for a swift and merciful end.
And that, my friends, is when it hits you: The Ticket Cartel™ is just a glorified DIXI.
(Ticket Cartel™ being the monopoly of colluding conglomerate companies controlling the majority of the event ticketing industry)
Think about it: The "security" is about as effective as that wonky DIXI lock. You're shelling out "service fees" for absolutely zero service (kind of like that phantom toilet paper). And the whole experience? Let's just say it leaves you feeling…unclean. Violated, even. Just like after wrestling with Ticket Cartel™.
They’ve got a monopoly on the whole festival experience, just like that DIXI has a monopoly on your immediate relief. They own the game, so they make the rules, and those rules involve you paying through the nose for the privilege of…well, you know.
While finishing up your business, you notice an intriguing sticker. Just three words that together speak volumes. It's a battle cry, a rallying call, a call to action even: PISS OFF Ticketmaster.
Scanning the QR code leads you to the epicentre of the ticketing rebellion. A place where all that righteous anger is channeled into something useful. And all the years of frustration are harnessed to fight back. You found your tribe. And together you will profit from the downfall of Ticketmaster.
Exit the DIXI. Enter the Open Ticketing Ecosystem.

Ticketing Monopolies last year made record breaking profits at the expense of artists, organizers and fans.
Billions of dollars to shareholders whilst fans took the losing end of the stick. How many times must a ticket sale go wrong before it's time to say enough?
It’s time to change the system,
It’s time for #onchain ticketing to win.
It's time to unveil what lies ahead for OPEN over the next few months in a new vision and roadmap blog.
We'll dive into plans for starting a movement, vertical integration and a roadmap of exciting updates to come!

@0xBreadguy I started to carry a tiny cloths line, true space safer as you’d need even less spare cloths. Only takes a few minutes to quickly wash something in the sink, wring it out inside a towel and dry it overnight on the line.
Great setup though! Would be curious to know the weight
Happy to provide some colour on the benefits. To do so I usually split into pre, during and post event / sale:
Pre-Event:
Issued tickets can be verified transparently on-chain (or via an explorer for human readability: https://t.co/etk5D0mLOs)
Organizers can raise capital by bundling their onchain tickets in a smart contract before they're sold to the public, these assets can be used as collateral in DeFi to raise funds to pay deposits, example financing hub: https://t.co/pVKuFHOw6I)
Onchain tickets are composable, meaning you can set your inventory up and then sell these assets across multiple marketplaces, organizers could choose their ideal primary and secondary marketplace platforms, onchain tickets could also be implemented into many different dapps, e.g rewards for betting, lotteries, reward and loyalty programs.
During-Sale:
Resale rules can be enforced on the contract level, any marketplace can sell tickets but must adhere to rules set on contract level.
Revenue splits can also be enforced on contract level, meaning revenue goes onchain directly to rightful parties, i.e % split for ticketeer, organizer, promoter, artist, affiliate, marketplace - all cleanly without funds being held hostage by ticketeer through web2 rails
Tapping into onchain payments also comes with the benefit of a global settlement system that's not reliant on regional psps
Post-Event:
Onchain tickets become collectibles post-event that can be cherished much like the paper ticket stubs of old.
Not only are they collectibles but also access passes into gated content by organizers, artists, sponsors etc. Hold 5 Taylor Swift onchain tickets to access a VIP upgrade for her next tour or get access into a community chat.
Having a history of onchain ticket sales also allows organizers / artists to better fund their next shows by having a track record of past ticket sales.
That's the main points I'd say! Happy to chat further on this front.
@pascalchapelle2@avsa Gene (expressions) is not the same as chromosomes. Its possible to have the chromosomes of one sex, but gene expressions of the other. Case in point XY with female genitals
@pascalchapelle2@avsa Even with XX it is possible that due to certain (rare) gene expressions you might develop into and look phenotypically like a man. So this definition too will not categorically prevent these incidents.
Today we’re excited to launch a new DAO vote that if approved will initiate the largest onchain onboarding partnerships for sports attendees to date, bringing user wallets, ticket linked collectibles and onchain benefits into the hands of a million+ sports attendees each year.
This vote would see OPEN partner with Azerion, the mobile app provider for over 15+ football clubs across the Netherlands, US, Argentina and Turkey.

Onchain ticketing that deepens the relationship between fans, artists and organizers. Where one ticket isn't just a single use access right - but a lasting connection that is endlessly composable and interoperable across chain.
