Excellent operating lens, Bodhi.
Local SEO
Home service companies should map PROFIT the same way SEO companies map rankings
Imagine putting every job from the last year on a map
Green = high profit
Yellow = average
Red = garbage
Now overlay your Google Maps rankings
The areas that are GREEN for profit but RED for visibility are where I start paying attention
🤖 I've updated my AI Search Optimization Framework & Checklist – With a Worksheet that not only goes through but also connects to all of the previously shared guides and resources I've published in the last months going through the whole process:
1. Establish the prompts and journeys you actually want to influence in AI systems
2. Measure your initial AI presence in popular AI systems before implementation
3. Diagnose your brand AI search presence gap before taking action
4. Make priority pages retrievable and extractable for AI systems
5. Align your brand entity, naming and positioning signals
6. Create decision support content and prioritize what still has a role after the AI answer
7. Grow your brand's third-party AI source ecosystem
8. Make commercial and transactional information machine-readable
9. Localize your presence by market, not only by language
10. Classify and measure what earns citations and what attracts clicks separately
11. Report AI search optimization efforts and outcomes without overclaiming
12. Run a recurring AI validation and optimization loop

Update on my LinkedIn SEO experiment:
I published an article targeting "SEO in 2026" and within 24 hours it was #3 on Google.
~2 weeks later, it's now #7.
Here's exactly what happens if you do this:
LinkedIn articles get a HUGE head start in Google.
They're published on an established, heavily crawled domain and for freshness-sensitive searches like "SEO in 2026", new content can get pushed up very quickly.
But that initial ranking isn't necessarily where it'll stay.
With new content Google initially estimates where a page should rank, then rankings can fluctuate heavily for 1-2+ weeks while it settles.
That's exactly what I'm seeing.
So my takeaway so far:
LinkedIn articles are ridiculously good for getting into Google FAST.
But don't mistake the first 24-hour ranking for the permanent one.
I'll keep tracking where this eventually settles.
