It’s humbling how God moves. While we’re so busy overthinking, doubting, and wondering if things will ever work out, you pray, you cry, you wait, and then one day, out of nowhere, He comes through. It may not happen the way you imagined, but somehow, it always turns out to be exactly what you needed.
you need to learn to stay away from people who make you mean, crazy or reactive. that’s not you or who you want to be. so if they being that out of you, they’ve got to go
tolerating always turns into resentment. at first, you call it patience, then love. but what it really is, is self abandonment. every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score. eventually, the bill comes due.
The older I get, the more I realise that someone making time for you is one of the clearest signs they care. Everyone is busy. Everyone has responsibilities and their own battles to fight. So when someone consistently chooses to spend their time with you, checks on you and makes space for you in their life, it means something. Time is the one thing we can never get back and people don't give it away lightly.
The real luxury is actually having slow mornings. No alarms. No rushing to work. No need to hurry your coffee. You wake up naturally after 8 hours of sleep, pray, shower, eat, and then you're ready to start your day. That's wealth to me.
I'm at a point in my life where I pray to keep meeting the right people. People who genuinely want the best for me, hold me in high regard, and add peace to my life.
I don’t want my daughter to be like me. I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologize less. Take up more space. Ask bigger questions. Dream louder. And if that means she becomes everything I wasnt… GOOD!
I sit quietly and realize that God has been taking care of me this whole time. Maybe not in luxurious ways. Maybe not an easy life. But through protection, provision, good health, surviving hard days and always having just enough to keep going.
