Three years ago, I promised an American reader that I would translate “Megami Tensei” into English myself. In order to fulfill that promise, I am publishing this translation.
However, since contractual matters were resolved this month, my partner and I are in discussions with an overseas publisher regarding the translation. My translation is not polished enough as English. But it is faithful to the original text. I hope it will help a translator I trust understand my Japanese. And I believe that translator will turn the sequels to “Megami Tensei”—"Warrior of the Demon City” and “The End of Reincarnation”—into wonderful English novels.
Therefore, I will remove this text by the end of July. In the meantime, I hope you will take the time to savor what “Digital Devil Story” is all about.

@bansama My opinion having dealt with fan tl and official tl for over 20 years now. Biggest gripe is dubtitles. If you have no jp audio and cannot totally restructure the text (it is line by line. e.g. all manga) you must keep all honorifics and titles.

@matix314 @granblue_en Light and earth already run harp grids, fire 6-dragon weapon is harp, winds astral is harp also the celestial harp is wind, dark has revans, quilin and Ferry harp. Water seems to be the lowest tier. This gives everyone harp speciality, which was the limiting factor anyway.

@john_michonski If they actually cared about steaming, there would be obvious company policy changes to reflect that. No face-to face meetings with talents, would be the most obvious (or at the very least you have to go to them). Talents time has to be valued much higher than it is.

@john_michonski Cover just seems to have pivoted away from streaming, to focus on the IP side. Too much non-streaming work is being put on talents, whether that's concert prep (holofes was supposed to be optional) or paperwork doesn't matter.
