@owenjonesjourno Itโs impressive how Owen jones can so reliably have a bad take on these issues. The Sikh community are quite clearly not to blame for this tragedy but it is certainly prudent of them to release a statement like this to provide more information on this ceremonial knife they carry
@LozzaFox What an utterly ridiculous post. You get hundreds of thousands of people together celebrating, hugging and loving one another and you post a video of a couple of aggy people in the crowd and think you are making a point ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@Koomberi@csubagio@kareem_carr How very postmodern of you. You are free to believe it, but math as a social construct is quite a fringe idea. Presumably then you believe that there are possible worlds where 1+1 does not equal 2?
@csubagio@kareem_carr Brains are physical objects, they produce physical phenomena. They take physical inputs and produce physical outputs. Calculators fulfil this same criteria. Calculators may not BE math but they definitely DO math. What do brains do if not math?
@kareem_carr I find this a very odd take. Admittedly, the brain is probably the most mysterious object in the known universe but one thing we can be sure about is that, amongst other things, it is a statistical learning machine.
@owenjonesjourno We know a minimum 7k are confirmed killed. I see you did not mention the 11744 cases currently under review. Local health officials have estimated up to 36.5k. I am not a fan of Trumpโs war but it is so weird that you down play the crimes of the IRGC.
@mehdirhasan@mehdirhasan falling for one of the most common statistical fallacies: correlationโ causation. Just because a racial group is correlated with a religion, criticising the religion does not equate to criticising the race. Would criticising Christianity in the Middle East be racist?
