@Rayst0rm@A_Nationalist12@Berna7224 Fully agree on this one. It usually requires a certain experience, humbleness, and respect balancing one’s self versus a higher creative direction. And it works best when the art is equally informing of the direction in the end.
Never works with an unreasonable client though.
@novabrand Cliff Kingdom is a nordic inspired metroidvania with trolls and robots.

@A_Nationalist12@Berna7224 Which is completely understandable, and is also why I dont hate on that. I just personally prefer playing games with art made by humans. Each to their own.
There are also tons of ways of making games that aren’t art heavy.
@BOLDBANGER314@Berna7224 Then you also know that any idea in the mind transforms completely when you start making it. Every song I have ever written, or any thing else I have ever created has started from an idea but usually ends up different in the end. It’s all part of the creative process.
@RealNam58912695@Berna7224 I generally do little hate. It’s an interesting question for sure. I would be disappointed in their subterfuge first and foremost.
@BOLDBANGER314@Berna7224 I would welcome that. Unfortunately it’s not possible with generative AI. It would be more akin to a great artist instructing others.
Also. Art is not created by the mind, it’s a very poor artistic director at best.
@KaximotoT@Berna7224 Of course not, but I don’t understand your point. If it’s that photographs replaced portraits, that’s true, but both are still an art form in an of itself. I don’t see the comparison with AI generated imagery.
@RuiAVELINO2@Berna7224 Absolutely. Which is also why this will be interesting going forwards in where it lands. But having AI generating for you is not creating anything IMHO.
@adam_kamienski@Berna7224 Sure. Some technology will make humans redundant. It’s happened many times. But we do have a choice with the usage of AI to either use it as a tool to make humans more efficient, or to replace the humans. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Day 2 trying to spread the word about our kickstarter pre-launch page for our nordic metroidvania with trolls and robots.
.. Wait is that a robot with a beard?

@RuiAVELINO2@Berna7224 Personally I just prefer art that is made by humans. It’s not just about the end product, but the admiration of the craft itself and the journey to get there.
Each to their own.
