Nope. Nice try Elon. YOUR party is in the majority, and 38 members of YOUR party voted against this bill. You see Elon, governing is just a bit more complicated than sitting on your phone all day and retweeting stuff from a dude named Catturd. You & YOUR party own this.
Maggie Haberman reports that her Republican sources are “concerned” about Elon Musk’s influence on Donald Trump and its implications for “effectively, competently, and functionally running a government.”
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, is threatening to unseat elected officials if they do not follow his orders to shut down the government during the holidays.
Are we still a democracy or have we already moved to oligarchy and authoritarianism?
There are still people waiting to vote at Savin Hill's 13-10 precinct (Cristo Rey School on Savin Hill Ave. in #Dorchester) after delays caused by a ballot shortage. All voters who were in line by 8 p.m. will be able to vote, according to city officials.
The world’s richest man has become one of the most prominent propagators of falsehoods, leading other billionaires and business executives in favor of their preferred candidate. https://t.co/6GTOI4cq7i
“Given the sheer frequency of @elonmusk’s posting…it is almost inevitable that he will be one of the top spreaders of election-related disinformation in this cycle,” says Imran Ahmed, founder of the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH). https://t.co/7RhnTpRc5u?
Since this bigot, cosplaying as a preacher, came for my denomination, the Church Of God In Christ, my leader, Bishop J. Drew Sheard, and the Black church in general, let me offer this saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost filled clap back to his racist, hypocritical temper tantrum about Black people not supporting Donald Trump.
The overwhelming support of white evangelicals for Trump exposes profound hypocrisy within their political and religious alignment. Trump’s life, actions, and policies are antithetical to the values they profess as Christians. Evangelicals claim to uphold the sanctity of marriage, yet they support a man who has been married three times, each marred by infidelity. They preach family values while endorsing someone who paid porn stars and has been accused of sexual misconduct by over two dozen women. The Bible condemns lying, yet Donald Trump is a documented pathological liar, spreading falsehoods with impunity.
Furthermore, Trump’s policies on immigration and refugees fly in the face of biblical teachings to care for the stranger and the oppressed. White evangelicals, however, have largely backed his xenophobic agenda, turning a blind eye to the suffering of immigrants and asylum seekers. The Bible calls believers to take care of the poor and marginalized, but evangelicals champion policies that cut social safety nets and disproportionately harm the most vulnerable.
Their hypocrisy is not new. Historically, white evangelicals have misused the Bible to justify heinous acts. They were key supporters of slavery, using scripture to rationalize the subjugation, rape, and murder of Black people. Their legacy includes defending segregation, opposing civil rights, and today, embracing a political agenda that harms the poor, immigrants, Black people, and other non white people. White evangelical support for Trump is simply the latest chapter in their long history of aligning with what the Bible itself calls wickedness.
They have a history of supporting violence, exploitation, rape, murder, theft, and colonization, all while claiming to be followers of Christ. Whit evangelicals have justified these acts through a twisted interpretation of scripture, portraying violent subjugation as ordained by God. The practice of buck breaking—where enslaved Black men were sexually assaulted by white slaveholders to break their spirit—was another horrifying act that many evangelicals tacitly endorsed. Despite their vocal condemnation of homosexuality, they ignored the rampant sexual abuse and exploitation committed by white men in these horrific acts.
White evangelicals also supported the genocide and displacement of Indigenous people, rationalizing the theft of land as part of a divine mandate. The so-called “Manifest Destiny” was framed as God’s will, with no regard for the Indigenous lives destroyed in the process. They stood behind policies that sanctioned murder and violence to fulfill this colonial ambition, all while calling themselves defenders of Christian values.
Today, this legacy of supporting violence and oppression persists in their support for preemptive strikes and military interventions that result in the deaths of civilians around the world. In Gaza, they stand behind the indiscriminate bombing and killing of Palestinian civilians, justifying it under the guise of political necessity or even biblical prophecy. Their alignment with these actions mirrors their historical support for the murder of enslaved Black people, the theft of Indigenous land, and the sexual violence of buck breaking.
The evangelical church’s selective morality—opposing certain sins like abortion or homosexuality while embracing mass violence, exploitation, and white supremacy—reveals a deep hypocrisy and exposes the fact that their allegiance is to power and racial domination, not to the gospel they claim to follow.

Careful @JDVance, your desperation is showing. The only reason one would make such misrepresentations about allowing the state to “kidnap” children to change their sexual identity, and Walz’ military record would be because you have no sane counterpoints to make.
