@BernieSanders I should also mention that teachers don’t get paid hourly, but salary. So we don’t actually get paid for all of the extra hours we put in outside of 7am-4pm daily that are our contracted hours. So essentially, the more we work (to help our students) the LESS we get paid hourly.
@BernieSanders Agreed. But teachers who have a degree, work 50+ hours a week, and barely make $20/hour better get a pay raise if the minimum goes up to $15/hour. There is no reason that the people educating the future of our country should struggle to make ends meet.
Conversation I overheard this morning:
*kid can’t find his jacket*
Dad: It’s not in your backpack? I told you to check before we left! Well, go outside and freeze!
😂😂😂
@jennafischer It's always been capped at $250! After I spent $900 last year I made a vow to spend WAY less in my classroom this year and only spend on necessities. It's been working great!
I legitimately just had trouble remembering if I'm 25 or 26. Like I had to think about the year I was born and then do the math. Is this getting old, or pregnancy brain?
Do you ever follow someone and then realize it was a mistake and want to unfollow them but are afraid they have that one app that shows when people unfollow them? What if they notice?! Currently my predicament for several people. #whattodo 🤔
