Rylee didnβt want to say no to her sister, even if she wasnβt feeling the best right now. So, she gave her a small smile. βWhy donβt you choose?β She asked her, gesturing over to them before nodding. Then she sat up further on the bed, sitting against the headboard.
Grinning she shook her head before glancing towards her sisterβs tv. Pointing towards her stack of movies she raised a brow with a tilt of her head. βWanna pick a movie for us then? We could have a girlβs night.β
She watched her hop onto the bed and then just shook her head. βI wasnβt going anything, nothing you have to worry about.β She told her and then placed the book back down on the side after closing it.
When her little sister picked up her book, she looked down at it with a slightly sheepish look. βUh yeah.. I mean I take knowing the book like the back of my hand quite literally.β She mumbled but knew sheβd been caught out and by someone way younger than her at that.
Giggling she picked up her sisterβs book before raising a brow playfully. βDo you always read your books upside down?β
Nudging Rylee gently she hopped onto her bed and swung her feet over the edge. βDonβt worry. I wonβt tell Mama whatever it is that you were doing.β
βShe wonβt be long.β The young woman nodded and then shrugged her shoulders. βJust.. studying.β That was a lie. She hadnβt been studying at all even though she probably shouldβve been.
Rylee knew that her sister looked up to her and sometimes that felt like quite a lot of pressure. She knew she wasnβt exactly a great role model and where she sometimes tried to be, she couldnβt always help itβ¦
She didnβt want Peyton to be like her, not entirely anyway.
Peyton adored Rylee and tried hard to be just like her. She wasnβt as much of a rule breaker as she was, but she tried hard to be tough. In reality, she was more sensitive. βI hope so. Itβs been extra boring tonight. What are you up to?β
She headed on over, seated right opposite Arden and just gave her a brief grin because there was this shared βI know what youβve been up toβ between them now. They were both high, clearly.
For some reason it didnβt take long for Ryleeβs eyes to land back on the familiar face from around an hour ago. Clearly she did always get noticed and gather attention, sheβd gotten Ryleeβs for sure.
She once again watched her for a moment, before hearing the announcement of
spin the bottle. Now, she was always up for a game, specifically at partyβs. Plus it would ensure the place remained lively so she couldnβt complain, not that she would. She also knew it was so the men got their βtypical fixβ but who was she to say no to some fun either way?
Rylee was quite the wild child. Despite being in med school, she broke rules and was quite rebellious. However, when it came to her little sister, she was very protective of her. βI know you miss her but sheβs only at work, sheβll be home soon.β She told her.
It seemed that or was a touchy subject for both. Rylee didnβt entirely know why she did it either, only to knock the edge off and whenever she was in some low frame of mind. Again it wasnβt constant or an every day thing but still was a bad habit that she probably should break.
now she was speaking to everyone, occasionally dancing on the tables and just being life of the party really, which she always did a good job at.
Now sat on the couch, eyes slightly redder now, she downed a few more shots with a group of people and just continued to talk with
