i think stellar is a blockchain that mainstream web3 doesn’t rly understand.

if you were around a few cycles ago, you might recognise the person in this photo.

but most people won’t.

even though he’s the founder of stellar. a man named jed mccaleb. and he also founded mt gox + ripple.

most people also don’t know that stripe actually backed stellar after patrick collison and jed were brainstorming together one day.

and that it counts silicon valley legends naval, keith rabois and sam altman as advisors. yes, that’s THE sam altman.

i think stellar’s not well understood in the web3 mainstream because it’s always focused on real-world use-cases. and as jed says, these have taken longer than expected to materialise.

but that’s changing.

we’ve been telling stellar’s story in the @easya_app. and builders are excited.

25,000 developers have started learning about stellar with EasyA. and last weekend we invited the best 300 to come to our EasyA x Stellar hackathon.

EasyA gigabrains are already on stellar mainnet. and new ones are launching every month.

why am i writing this?

because i’m personally fascinated by this story. and i also think that blockchains should share their stories more. we tell them in the EasyA app. it’s an art. and knowing how to paint the picture is the hardest task of all.

but when you get it right, magic happens. and this week we saw that magic in real life, post-hackathon at stellar’s annual conference.
