Todays #wcw is Marie Tharp, an oceanographic cartographer, who discovered the Mid-Atlantic ridge in 1952 and published the first systematic map of the ocean floor. Thanks to Tharp, scientists were able to accept the theories of plate tectonics and continental drift! 🌊🗺️
