Great excitement in Reception today when we released the butterflies, they flew straight into our Wildlife Area!

Reception are having an amazing morning today. Mums, Dads, and Nans came to our Weave the Magic session and watched our Literacy lesson and stayed for child initiated play inside and outside. We all had lots of fun!

Reception are having fantastic fun with our Coronation Celebrations. We’ve dressed up in Union Jack colours, been creating our own commemorative Hearts and Crown Designs.

Reception have had a Super Start to our Marvellous
Mini-beasts Topic. We were really excited to meet our new additions to our Class, lots of tiny caterpillars!
We cannot wait to observe them grow and change.

Thank you to all the parents, carers and grandparents who came to see our Easter Bonnet Parade, it was a lovely occasion. The children really enjoyed singing their Easter song and showing off their creations in the parade.

Both Reception classes enjoyed our special Easter Show to parents. We sang our Happy Easter Bunny Song and paraded our ‘Eggcellent’ Easter Bonnets. Thanks parents for all your support, greatly appreciated.

Bumblebee Class are detectives today, we have been taking finger prints to find the culprit who blew down the house of straw and the house of sticks! Any ideas???

Reception were lucky enough to have a special treat for World Book Day. One of our Reception Dads is a published author and came and read his book ‘My Family and Other Families’ to us. What a great experience!

Reception had an amazing time at the Farm today. We listened to the story of The Three Little Pigs and created our own houses made of straw, sticks and bricks and tried to huff and puff and blow them down! We then toured the farm and learnt about real pigs!

Reception Bumblebees all had a lovely morning on our visit to Central Library in Bexleyheath. We listened to different stories on our topic Superheroes and we all got to choose a book to take back to School with us with our new Class Library card.

Wow, what a fantastic morning we had in Bumblebee Class with 27 Parents and Carers joining us for our ‘Weave the Magic’ session. They observed our daily Phonics lessons and stayed to join in with our continuous provision inside and outside.
