Absolutely brutal report from the Auditor General: @cityoftoronto paid $14.92 million in fees outside of their agreed-upon contracts with hotels to provide shelter services. According to the report, this amount could have provided 140 rooms to unhoused people for an entire year.

Lynn Walker a 62 year old Métis grandmother facing eviction today from her home in #Toronto's Allan Gardens.The City told her they would work with her towards housing & would not remove her tent & belongings until she got housed. She subsequently received a 72hr eviction notice.
