It's been a while.... 4 recent vinyl purchases

A quartet of recent purchases

And some decent vinyl from the last few months...

[Record/CD Collector @recordsandcds]

By contrast, here are 4 decent new CD purchases

Fourth - Filling in the gaps in my Def Leppard collection, thankfully this release (Drastic Symphonies) was pretty cheap. You'd think I'd know by now that these releases that "reimagine" the hits are generally filler and destined to only be played once or twice.

Third - a 2024 officially licensed release of a rare pre-Status Quo 7" single. An awful picture cover and mistitled 'B' side suggest this was a missed opportunity for a genuine collectable.

Second is another excellent band - The Georgia Satellites. This live CD from Columbus, Ohio claims to be from an FM broadcast. All I can assume is that the radio broadcast a copy of an audience recording on a walkman hidden in someone's pocket, such is the poor sound quality

First posts for a while and a run of underwhelming purchases. First up is the Live At Shea Stadium CD from the Who. Now I love the Who, and they are generally brilliant. This recording / performance from the 1982 tour is not however and I am amazed it got an official release.
