To document my work and some of the new features for Air Lookout 2.0 (release date TBD!… but “soon”), I’m going to start an update thread in the style of @stroughtonsmith and @JPEGuin
This week at @stripe Sessions the platform team has shipped so many things that make building on Stripe better!
A couple of highlights from my amazing team:
Sandboxes for all
Test mode is finally unleashed! With Sandboxes, you can create multiple safe Sandbox environments to test and integrate together as a team. Being able to have a space for yourself to play + explore is magic. Now on every Stripe account near you. 🪄 https://t.co/EdPH84Sphh
Workflows
Automate Stripe without writing code, using our new visual builder. Update a customer automatically if they spend a specific amount! Email a team member when a coupon is used! There's so much you can now do in a few seconds: https://t.co/z0BlkfuFRa (Public preview)
Blueprints
An early look at a new experience that makes integrating with Stripe easier to understand, starting with V2 accounts. Visualize the sequence of API calls for the complete integration—and execute them directly in the dashboard. (Public preview—try it out as you migrate to V2 accounts in Workbench)
New app capabilities
We're working on new ways for developers to deeply embed WITHIN Stripe, starting with extending into detail pages, and the ability to swap out your tax engine. (Private preview—more coming soon) https://t.co/POyZgi6xBV
There is so much more that's great for developers + everyone using Stripe this year across the entire platform. See the full list here: https://t.co/wAnwVhzil1
I did some more experimentation with the guetzli JPEG encoder and compared the results and file size with Adobe Photoshop's JPEG export → https://t.co/gpkb7ZHD7b
I’m pretty new to CloudKit, but my iOS and visionOS builds all automatically switched over to using the production CloudKit database when uploaded to TestFlight… except for my mac build.
Have others ran into this before?
I've been working on an RSS feed reader because I have very specific opinions about how an app like this should be. It's also a great excuse to work on a visionOS app.

I'm particularly happy with the focused reader mode, especially in visionOS. Being fully immersed in an environment while listening to music and swiping through posts is my new favorite way to catch up on my favorite blogs.
Really happy with the progress I was able to make on my RSS reader for visionOS this weekend. It’s tough to beat the focused experience of reading blog posts under the stars by Mt. Hood.
@antonsten I would be surprised if the mini got an M series chip. It will probably be updated this year with some newer A series iPhone chip (still pretty fast though!).
I find it so very frustrating to get accurate location data into photos taken with a non-smartphone camera.
Camera "companion" apps are always terrible, the location is inaccurate and I always have to reopen the app because iOS kills it after a few minutes.
Right now, I have a working proof of concept macOS app that can read/ write a location to image metadata. But I'm not sure what platform this app will ultimately live on.
