China’s aggressive campaign to dethrone the U.S. dollar has officially hit a wall. It turns out that authoritarian power has its limits: "Beijing can create financial instruments, but it cannot decree demand."
Despite over a decade of state-directed economic muscle, global markets are quietly rejecting the renminbi (RMB). The hard numbers reveal the true scope of this failure:
- The RMB still accounts for less than 5% of global trade transactions.
- A staggering 80% of transactions on China’s alternative network (CIPS) are still forced to route directly through the Western SWIFT system.
- Offshore yuan deposits sit at a minuscule $234 billion, completely buried by the $15 trillion in dollar-denominated assets held outside America.
True global reserve status requires deep markets, transparency, and the rule of law. Because the CCP refuses to loosen its authoritarian grip and strict capital controls, international businesses simply do not trust the currency enough to hold it voluntarily. Instead, real organic demand in emerging markets is flowing directly into innovations like dollar-pegged stablecoins, which exploded into a $317 billion market in just six years.
The CCP can lay down the financial tracks, but they cannot force the world to ride them.
Will China ever build the international trust needed to rival the dollar without completely giving up its centralized control?

I met with Prime Minister of Poland @donaldtusk in Brussels. We discussed issues on the bilateral agenda and Ukraine’s EU integration, as well as remaining challenges facing all European countries because of Russian aggression.
I am grateful to Poland for supporting Ukraine from the first days of Russian invasion, and this is something that is truly important for our region and all of Europe. Our shared security interests and the freedom of every nation that lives next to Russia must be protected.
Beijing's trap for dual nationals has been officially exposed, and the US government just issued an urgent warning to anyone entering China with Chinese documents. The US Mission to China released a critical advisory reminding travelers that the Chinese Communist Party does not recognize dual nationality. If you are a naturalized US citizen of Chinese origin but cross the border using Chinese-issued papers, you are effectively stripping away your own American safety net.
According to the State Department, entering China with Chinese-issued travel permits or national ID cards can completely lock you out of US government assistance. If you face arbitrary detention, sudden exit bans, or forced disappearance, the regime will exploit these documents to treat you solely as a Chinese national. Consequently, US consular services will be blocked from intervening, leaving you entirely at the mercy of the CCP's corrupt legal system.
To ensure full American protection against the regime's overreach, naturalized citizens of Chinese origin must formally renounce their Chinese citizenship and completely stop using Chinese documents for convenience.
Does this official warning prove that Beijing views the overseas Chinese diaspora not as free global citizens, but as property to be trapped, audited, and controlled whenever the totalitarian regime sees fit?

We continue to apply Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russian military facilities and the oil industry. In particular, last night Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingos struck a military plant in Cheboksary that supplies the occupier’s army with components for drones and missiles. I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their precision! The Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara region was also hit last night. The distance from the frontline is more than 900 kilometers. I am grateful to the warriors of the Special Operations Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The entirely just responses of the Security Service of Ukraine also reached two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region, at a distance of 700 kilometers. I thank everyone who fights and works for Ukraine!
President Trump confirmed that two pilots of the Apache helicopter that crashed near the Strait of Hormuz are "fine."
Details of the incident:
• Helicopter went down around 3 a.m. local time.
• The US Navy rescued the crew in about two hours.
• Both crew members are in stable condition.
🇫🇮 NATO officially deploys new Forward Land Forces in Finland (FLF Finland)
NATO has activated its ninth forward combat group on the eastern flank — Forward Land Forces Finland.
The core of the new unit is a Swedish battalion of around 600 troops, with Sweden serving as the framework nation. The United Kingdom, France, Italy, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland have already joined the force.
In case of a crisis, the group can rapidly expand into a full brigade of up to 5,000 soldiers.
A permanent multinational headquarters has been established in Rovaniemi, Lapland.
This marks a significant strengthening of NATO’s northern flank in response to the security situation in the region.
While Washington watches from the sidelines, a highly dangerous authoritarian axis is officially locking arms. Xi Jinping's sudden arrival in North Korea is not standard diplomacy; it is a direct, calculated threat to Western global security. Rushing to Pyongyang for his first international trip of the year, Xi is moving aggressively to bind Kim Jong Un tighter to Beijing, effectively providing cover to a rogue regime that just deployed 10,000 troops to fuel Russia's war in Ukraine.
The rhetoric pouring out of this summit is an open declaration of hostility against Western stability. Writing for North Korea’s state media, Xi explicitly vowed that their alliance would "ride the wind and waves" to systematically counter Western influence and power politics. Backing this aggressive stance, Kim Yo Jong simultaneously took to the airwaves to mock American denuclearization demands as a pathetic, anachronistic dream, proving that Pyongyang’s nuclear blackmail now has explicit Chinese backing.
This is a massive wake-up call for the West. By securing the economic and political survival of its nuclear-armed proxy, Beijing is establishing a coordinated Eastern front designed to destabilize the international order. Treating China, Russia, and North Korea as isolated regional threats is a fatal mistake. They are operating as a unified machine, and the global security landscape has just become infinitely more dangerous.
