Releasing August of this year is:
AS FAR AS DEVOTION GOES
A story of love, freedom, and dragons, it continues The Doomsday Mosaic in a new land with a new cast of characters, all of whom struggle with the nature of affection and its bindings, as well as the return of the dragons
@The_Raxir@ELDENRING It'd be incredible if he actually plays Patches this time, but he could just as easily play anyone else. I think he'd be a good Gideon Ofnir
@naniwa_zuni@MaleMultimuse@boobsucker2427 Considering those actors are supposed to stay in character at all times, this means that mcu Ant-Man canonically knows who Pekora is.
@Zap_TFS@geoffkeighley@DEADLINE Yep.
Any modern television series, especially fantasy ones, are insanely expensive to make and nobody will invest in them unless there's some kind of proven track record that they work.
Such is the business, I guess
@geoffkeighley@DEADLINE This seems like it could be incredible, but just won't be. I love Chernobyl and TLOU s1, and thought s2 was passable, even though it stripped much of what made the game special. But a sequel to a choice-based video game seems ill advised.
@OfficialMenzeta@geoffkeighley@DEADLINE What about Chernobyl? It's a great show and, although based on the real events, it is still carried by strong writing and direction, without being a true adaptation
Also I'd say s2 suffered most from just how differently it was structured, thus killing much of the game's nuance
@Oratuomi@geoffkeighley@DEADLINE Given how fresh this story is, it really could wind up being that. I believe TLOU s3 is only just coming into production now, so very much can and will be different from this report. Given how hard it'll be to continue a story with multiple endings, they might still change tact.
@GLabsPlus@geoffkeighley@DEADLINE Also, The Last of Us was an adaptation, whereas this seems like it'd be its own thing, albeit chronologically following the first.
Chernobyl really is a better example of what he can do with a story of his own (albeit one based on real events)
@CYBERH4LO Do what you gotta do
I'd hope that things might blow over one day, but this is an issue from the top down, so unless they do some serious restructuring it might just get worse.
Welcome to 2026...
@RemmysUF0 I see this too often honestly. Somebody posts something and says the artist's username, only to have it wrong somehow and so searching it comes up nothing.
