Never assume malice when it can be explained by simple mistake...at least until there is a pattern. Otherwise you will worry yourself to death.

Even if the use of "monkey" was a simple mistake and had no racist dog whistle, #DeSantis should be smart enough to know it could be taken that way. For that level of stupidity alone, he does not deserve to be governor.
