I’ve said for a few weeks now that I feel Oliver Glasner’s time as our manger is over.
He decided he was going to leave in October, made that news public in January despite the board telling him that it wouldn’t do any good and is now on a run of 1 win in 15 games in all competitions.
I’ll always be incredibly grateful for what he has achieved as our manager, the FA Cup win legitimately felt like a life changing moment as a fan back in May of 2025 and still does now but I just don’t believe that he is now getting the best out of the group.
Whether it’s just a tiny shift in intensity leading to poor results or something more serious, it now feels obvious that things aren’t going to improve particularly between now and the end of the season.
Ultimately, however simplistic or basic it may sound, I believe that the manager of our football club should want to be there for the long haul, not just until his contract runs its course.
I understood, in broad terms, the thought process behind not sacking him and allowing his deal to come to an end but it feels untenable from my point of view.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you intend to boo either the manager or the player on Sunday, please consider the consequences of doing so.
Palace have still have a chance of winning something. Still a chance of a best-ever finish.
Back this team to do it, please.
The football never ends
I thought it was the end of the world when Dougie left.
Again with Holloway.
Again with Pardew.
Probably Allardyce too.
And somehow after all of those we got better
I’m not saying we’ll get better.
We can’t really achieve more than we already have
For me, as long as we can have a competitive team, that’s makes me want to go and watch the games, makes me think we have a chance, I’ll be happy
