Según este estudio, las pruebas rápidas p/ dengue solo detectaron alrededor del 52% de los casos confirmados por PCR. Se sugirió que la epidemia no se debió a la introducción de una nueva variante en 2019, sino más bien a la evolución local del virus en una población susceptible.
