@hushedocean@noonchaitesot@baewaqufiya kaeshir aren't desi, never heard one referring to themselves as such. Also, desi is especially referred to mainland indians and pakistanis. even Northeast and south Indians don't associate with it, don't get me started with balochs and Pashtuns and how much they hate this term.
@cormorantics@DayaJoker@kaoru_san22 Yes it was completly banned later on, also there were fatwas(religious rulings ) against it by the muslim scholars which ultimately led it's abolition. Today muslim countries have a strict laws against it like death penalty
@kaoru_san22@DayaJoker sex slavery, it’s regulating and gradually dismantling a system that was universal at the time. Quoting one phrase while ignoring the direction of the whole framework isn’t evidence. it’s selective reading
@kaoru_san22@DayaJoker you’re quoting what your right hand possesses without context and acting like that proves endorsement. The text is describing a reality that already existed, then placing limits, responsibilities, and a clear push toward freeing people. It’s not introducing or celebrating
@kaoru_san22@DayaJoker lol calling Islam pro–sex slavery? Islam entered an already existing system, restricted it with rules and accountability, and consistently pushed toward freeing people and ultimately dismantled it. Islam was actually moving society away from brutal norms, not endorsing them.
@nunchaiilant They are literally committing femicide, even dogs are treated better than Afghan women. Taliban are the the filthy subhman creatures, so are their supporters.
