Hmm, Didn't take any earlier in process photos of this one… Dripping paint over a wood panel again. Quite fun! Roughing in my collar, face and hands. Oil on Wood Panel 20" x 20" #WIPPainting #myart #htxartists #contemporaryartist #newcontemporaryart #portrait #portraitchallenge

The background and the "ruff" collar are finished! The transparent fabric is tricky but super fun when it starts to take shape! I took my old angry politicians and shrunk them down. That anger is a part of our pattern now… #artist #painting #htxart #txartist

I've started the color and a lace overlay for the background. I like to think of the backgrounds as the subject's context. The place and time and circumstances that I see them, that define my perceptions of them. #oilpainting #WIPart #WIPpainting #portraitartist #texasartist

Overlaying a background. This piece is painted on wood and the paint made a beautiful texture dripping down. *Happy accidents*🎉🥳 . Oil on Wood Panel 20" x 20"
