In my humble opinion, some form of PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION is needed in future. The first past the post, two party system fails us appallingly.
2019 GE Results
Tories managed to break Britain with just 43.6% of vote giving 365 seats.... so 8.4 seats per % of vote.
Lib Dems had 11.5% of vote but only 11 seats.... so less than 0.96 seat per % of vote
So every Tory vote was worth nearly 9 TIMES MORE than a Lib Dem vote.
It's a broken system
Am very glad that there has been a massive focus on Nigel Farage's human rights. It means that this will be followed up with looking at unfair dismissals and evictions, justice delayed and denied, and the compensation failures of Windrush, Grenfell and the Post Office, won't it?
If TATA is investing £4 billion
And UK-taxpayers are paying £500 million
Does that mean the UK has an 11% stake in the new battery plant and we'll get dividends from those shares?
Or are we just giving free money to a company that made $132 billion in revenue last year, in a cost of living crisis where 1 in 10 children in our country are in food poverty?
"Cornwall Council 'won't close beaches due to sewage pollution' Unless there is severe danger to people's health."
Hope you got that. @CornwallCouncil appears happy for you to swim in sh*t unless you can prove it's making you sick. You have been warned.

Uxbridge & ULEZ
1. ULEZ was initiated by Boris Johnson long before Sadiq Khan.
2. The Conservative government under Grant Shapps made expanding ULEZ a condition of providing financial support to TFL during covid.
3. The Conservative government have provided funds to cities such as Birmingham (with a Conservative mayor), but not to London (with a Labour mayor).
Clean air is good, we need more of it.
Underfunding from the Conservative government which has caused the ULEZ charge is the problem. - Billions given to bankers in tax cuts, billions wasted in PPE/covid fraud, billions wasted on refugee bargees.
We need a different and better government. A pity the people of Uxbridge voted for more of the same.
It’s hard to comprehend that 13,965 people voted Tory in Uxbridge. Seemingly because they are against the expansion of ULEZ. Originally put in place by their former MP when he was London Mayor and expanded by Grant Schapps.
Happily ignoring what the Tories have done over 13yrs
“The reason the UK will have the lowest growth in the G7 next year is Brexit. We’re not going to reverse the decline until we begin to remove the barriers – economic, social, scientific – that we chose to erect with the rest of our continent.” - Brian Cox

Everyone outside of Britain looks at us as the Brexit basket case we have become.
The appeasement of Brexit is in itself utter madness and all premised on a dreadfully dodgy vote over 7 years ago.

Rishi Sunak blaming striking NHS workers for waiting list is like an arsonist blaming a fire on the fire brigade.
NHS waiting lists were huge before COVID. They were huge before strikes. They are a direct result of Tory austerity and NHS wages being cut.
Blame Rishi.

NY Times👇 (and rest of the world)
"This mess was, of course, both predictable and predicted. That’s why I’ve been struck by the curious political taboo against discussing how badly Brexit has gone"
Most UK media and politicians :
"Oh no no no - No Brexit please, we're British"
Morning @UKLabour@Conservatives@LibDems I suppose the simple choice you face is staying in/grabbing short term power or helping secure the future of life on earth . . . We are watching . . . https://t.co/45eiscNq0x
MP with 1 kid: £104pw child allowance
MP with 2 kids: £208pw child allowance
MP with 3 kids: £313pw child allowance
Public with 1 kid: £24pw child benefit
Public with 2 kids: £40pw child benefit
Public with 3 kids: £40pw child benefit
Do you see the massive disparity?
Rishi Sunak has claimed that voters are fine with him spending £50,000 a day on this ridiculously large private jet.
If you aren’t fine, RT and tell him to spend his own £720,000,000.
Where is his pay restraint?
Also like if you want him to f** off.
Retweet this if you’re currently unimpressed by both Labour and Conservatives’ proposals to fix current problems, and think we should demand better.
Let’s see what the strength of feeling is…
