OPINION: The Sporting Director and the hiearchy effectively pushed Mohamed Salah towards the exit from the end of 2025 without putting an immediate succession plan in place. They also left the Luis Díaz replacement position vacant for over a year.

Now, with the final week of the window upon them, Richard Hughes & team are still struggling to get a desired wingers over the line. Plus, there are glaring gaps in the midfield too.
