@WallStreetApes He signed up for a 10.6% loan. What did you think was going to happen? Try the same analysis on your 22% credit card. This is freedom. You can choose not to take these loans. If no one takes them, then they will lower the rate until they get enough takers.
@briantylercohen This is hyperbole. The bill does not cut Medicaid or anything else. It asks the leaders of the various agencies to find savings, it does not tell them how.
@Sadie_NC The job of the judiciary is to ensure that the executive branch follows the law and the constitution. The judges don't get to override the actions of the President as long as the President follows the law. If in doubt, the SC will decide. It takes time but is working correctly
@notlouisck Some will, but the estimates I have seen of people with NetWorth of 30M+ (you would need to have a very high net worth in order to pony up 5M) is pretty low, so I doubt it will make much of a dent in our debt levels.
@BehizyTweets Love the idea, but aren't property taxes what pays for public schools, firefighters and any city services? You would have to either stop providing these services, or else drastically increase the sales tax.
@poisonivyme14@elonmusk If you read or listen to Sam's point about this, the investors don't trust a CEO who does not have a stake in the company because it does align their motives. So, while he still says that money is not what drives him, he needs to take a financial stake in the company for them.
@kerryaw33@clubheartbreak Let's be clear...none of us know what actually happened, so I will reserve judgment on who is making "false claims" at this point. If you believe one side over the other, it just means that their media campaign is doing better.
@notlouisck@caredw624 He’s not wrong. American culture is not as intense as others. My friends growing up who were born to immigrant parents were pushed a lot harder than most American kids.
@JDVanceNewsX Sounds great in theory. The problem is, as always, we wait till the last second for critical things like funding the government or extending the debt ceiling so they don’t have seven days left.
@elonmusk How long will the lines be to get into this? Each car can only take 4 adults so when thousands show up, it will take a while. It will be like a popular roller coaster.
@EdKrassen That’s an oversimplification. Its a cost and like other costs, it can be passed on, or absorbed. Prices are not set purely based upon marginal costs. That, sir, is Economics 101.
@glenn_tunes Sounds great on paper but who gets to decide what is a lie. If we learned anything during Covid it was that legitimate questions were suddenly being branded as “misinformation” and people were punished. Thats not free speech.
