@fomo_eth@player1 @448_eth @address_eth@MAB Def. My point was a bit that shilling is marketing at this stage. It seems at this point that it's more about drumming up views and convincing speculators to "succeed" in the ENS world. A lot of what the this meme seems to say is the Chad way doesn't seem accurate.
@player1 @448_eth I mean, assuming you guys see yourselves as the Chad in this meme, how does one "market" an ENS without "shilling?" I mean even both of your accounts have pitches for your own domains, and/or attempts to market/drum up support for ENS groups you're a part of.
@054eth It's important to call out the bullshit, especially to prevent newbies from getting burned. The reality is there's a lot of desperate people worried about missing the boat. Helping them understand which will make it and which will sink is a positive addition to the conversation.
@TheZombieth The "narrative" as you state here "they are the sub-zero version of the digits, which happen to be real numbers".. is just the definition of a negative number?
@redlion_news This is a bit deep, but it's how if someone's already bought into a project, they no longer honestly value that project, and they turn to shills.
It's maddening how people are so willing to give up an objective perspective of "what's worth something" when money could be made.
@pokermonfacenft They're fairly see-through in terms of largely being a money grab. People who registered a bunch, then start trying to form an army of others who believe in [random characteristic] being valuable.
@BloomCapital_ Legit question, but why would someone want that as an identity exactly? Are you imagining a world where .eth can be used as a website domain and so you're thinking short, common words win? If it's just for payment/identity purposes though...why?
