France 🇫🇷 confirmed it has withdrawn all of its diplomats from Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 after the West African nation recently cut diplomatic ties with its former colonial power.

The French Foreign Ministry confirmed that all diplomatic staff returned to France late last week.

Burkinabe diplomats are also expected to leave by the end of the week, closing the chapter of french imperialism in Burkina Faso.

Official statement from the Belgian FA accusing FIFA of making the appeal inadmissible! 🇧🇪:

​"After learning through the media of FIFA's decision to lift the automatic suspension of player Balogun, we officially requested a copy of the decision and an explanation of the procedures followed, while clarifying our position on the regulations in force.

​However, the only response we received from FIFA was to treat our correspondence as an appeal, appointing a judge and giving us only a few hours to complete it, without providing us with any information.

​FIFA regulations clearly state that any appeal is only admissible after the concerned party has been notified of the reasoned decision.

​Instead of providing the clarifications we requested, FIFA created an appeal itself and then ensured it was dismissed on technical grounds.

​Furthermore, during the match coordination meeting, FIFA removed the section regarding the automatic suspension of players, even though it had been present in all previous meetings, and we received no response to our oral or written inquiries regarding this.

​To this moment, we have not received any decision or explanation from FIFA on this matter.

​Therefore, we have no choice left but to challenge the player's eligibility for the upcoming match.

​Regardless of the match outcome, we will continue to defend the principles of integrity, fair play, and the best interest of football in the coming hours, days, and months."
