House Speaker Mike Johnson has tried to prevent an outcome that would show the mounting opposition to the war, abruptly shutting down floor action two weeks ago when the war powers resolution was on the verge of approval. https://t.co/mTYdOZmZdn
The Trump admin says its dozens of boat strikes in waters off South America are intended to stop drug trafficking. But reporting makes it clear the strikes aren’t accomplishing that goal.

@justinhartley dear Justin I regret to inform you that I will no longer support shows that play on CBS as I refuse to give that station my business. Please see if you can get your show changed to another station.
@GMA GMA is not what it used to be to be, I am searching for another morning show. It’s sad because I like most of the people. The selling of things has gotten out of control every single day. It’s like they don’t have any news or selling is safe.
@DemocraticWins It could not have been handled more poorly if they tried. There was no plan. There was no strategy. There was chest beating arrogance and distraction from the Epstein files. It cost the US billions and Americans died in the process. Nice work Piggy!
BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Fox News' military expert just admitted that Donald Trump is responsible for giving Iran their most powerful negotiating chip: the Strait of Hormuz. Never prior to Trump's war did Iran leverage this. What an admission.
Trump is now reportedly responsible for roughly 27.7% of the entire U.S. national debt accumulated under all presidents combined.
That is an astonishing figure historically.
The national debt just crossed $39 trillion.
President Trump has added roughly $12–13 trillion to the debt across his two terms in office.
That’s approximately 30% of ALL U.S. national debt accumulated since 1789.
In 2016, Trump said he would pay down the national debt “over a period of eight years.”
Instead:
- First term: +$7.8 trillion
- Second term: roughly +$4–5 trillion already
And yes, COVID affected first-term spending.
It does not explain adding another trillion dollars every five months without a pandemic.
A political movement built on:
“fiscal conservatism”
“small government”
“balanced budgets”
has now overseen the largest debt expansion tied to any single presidency in American history.
