Nobody said he's not world class. I'm saying his need to be the focal point can come at the expense of the team's balance.
Great individuals don't always create great teams.

@utdtribune Out of the names we've been linked with, Baleba complements them best. He covers ground, wins duels, carries through pressure and gives the midfield the athleticism it currently lacks.
Who’s the perfect midfielder to match Kobbie, Santos, and Youri out of the players we are linked with?
I feel like Santos is a true DM that gets profiled as otherwise simply because he’s not 6’3”🩸#mufc
@AdamJoseph One game can change a result, not a player's profile. Good analysis looks for patterns over time, not conclusions from a single 90 minutes.
Fair point. I agree a No. 6 doesn't need to drive through half a team.
My point is that carrying to escape pressure and commit one or two opponents is still a form of ball carrying, and it's become an important trait in modern football.
That’s not the elite carrying I am talking about. I am talking about people who are hyping up DMs running through the whole pitch mostly when the game is wide open.
What you describe, I would say is press resistant and getting out of the first press. I don’t expect my DM to power through 5/6 defenders to open up the game.
