He/him. Transplant to the Midwest from CA. Obsessed with music, especially classic rock and metal. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Van Halen are my top bands!
Hi! My name is Kael and welcome to my page! I started this out as a personal account but then got the idea recently to turn it into a classic rock and heavy metal page! I've been a classic rock and heavy metal fansince I was very young, probably around 5 (thank you parents)...
The four musicians who would go on to form Led Zeppelin rehearsed together for the first time on August 19, 1968, in London, just one day before Robert Plant turned 20.
Jimmy Page had decided to reform The Yardbirds after their breakup and brought together Plant, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones to complete the new lineup. Their first concert took place on September 7 at a converted gym in Gladsaxe, Denmark, while they were still performing under the name The New Yardbirds.
Before their first U.S. tour, they officially adopted the name Led Zeppelin. At those early concerts, they were already performing songs that would appear on their debut album, such as “Communication Breakdown” and “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.”
The first album was recorded in just 36 hours and cost about £1,782, paid for by Page and Peter Grant even before the band had a record deal. In January 1969, Led Zeppelin would change Rock History forever.

That year, the band released "Sabotage," an album marked by legal disputes with their former manager, which also inspired the album's title.
Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, Geezer Butler, and Ozzy Osbourne, pioneers of heavy metal since their self-titled debut in 1970, already had years of intense touring behind them and a sound that would define an entire generation of subsequent bands.
The cross Iommi wears around his neck would become a recurring symbol of the band’s aesthetic.
35 years ago today, Soundgarden released ‘Badmotorfinger.’ Featuring “Outshined,” “Rusty Cage” and “Jesus Christ Pose,” the album brought Chris Cornell’s extraordinary voice and the band’s crushing riffs to a wider audience, helping define the sound of grunge.
Soundgarden released their third album, “Badmotorfinger” on this day in 1991. It has been publicly praised by Jimmy Page, Geezer Butler and Alex Lifeson. The opening track, “Rusty Cage” is my favourite.
