Ramaphosa confirms to Parliament that Jacinta and her co-instigators of xenophobic violence are under investigation by the police.
Arrest them on Friday!
Commander-In-Chief and President of the EFF, @Julius_S_Malema, asked President Ramaphosa:
The level of violence perpetrated against African foreign nationals in this country over the past few months has a face. We know who the instigators and the perpetrators of this violent act are. In certain instances, we have seen perpetrators unleashing their violence against African immigrants in the presence of the police, and yet no one of these perpetrators or instigators is arrested.
This gives an impression that this violence is, in fact, a state-sanctioned violence against African nationals. This hardens the attitude of our sister nations in the continent, because to them and to many of us, these are not isolated actions of vigilante groups, but rather actions aided by the state.
Why have the perpetrators of this violence not been arrested and prosecuted?

This is eroding South Africa’s international reputation bit by bit, and whoever hates South Africa and is behind this must be extremely happy. Not a single day has passed since 30 June without South Africa receiving negative international publicity.
Many people abroad may end up cancelling their bookings for fear of violence, something that has long been a concern for those considering visiting South Africa.
The hard work of South Africa’s tourism boards, associations and businesses is being undone before our very eyes. A country’s image takes years to build, but it can be damaged in a matter of days.
