🇺🇸JUST IN: FOUR US STATES SEEK $1.4 TRILLION IN PENALTIES FROM META OVER CHILD ADDICTION CLAIMS

California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey are taking Meta to trial in August over claims it designed Facebook and Instagram to addict children and misled the public about their safety.

The $1.4T figure is based on alleged violations under state consumer protection laws and is close to Meta’s entire market value of $1.5T.

Meta denies the allegations, arguing that social media addiction is not a recognized "psychiatric condition" and that its platforms were not designed to harm children.
