🚨 This is Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security.

Not a fringe figure, not an anonymous online extremist, but a senior state official entrusted with responsibility over policing, detention and national security.

The video shows the degrading and abusive treatment of flotilla detainees by a serving government minister. Conduct of this kind raises serious concerns under international humanitarian law and international human rights law, including the prohibition on humiliating and degrading treatment.

The conduct is alarming but even worse is the culture of impunity that has allowed such behaviour to become normalised at the highest levels of the Israeli state.

Abuse at the hands of Israel has ceased to be exceptional and is clearly systemic.

This is what happens when Israel’s violators are gifted impunity by almost the entire international community.

🚨 Recognition - UK gets over its denial and comes to terms with the fact of of Palestine.

Recognition alone will not stop the bombs falling on Gaza. It will not halt the expansion of illegal settlements.

It will not end the siege that has suffocated life and hope for generations. What matters now is whether recognition is matched by action. And action means:

➡️ Stopping the unadulterated annihilation and genocide of the Palestinian people - end the occupation.

➡️ Ending arms sales where there is a clear risk of war crimes,

➡️ Imposing sanctions on officials responsible for atrocities and settlement expansion,

➡️ Regulating UK companies and charities complicit in occupation,
