I wrote an essay on the current state of gender politics, and the question of a "gender binary." If you've smelled something off about the way people talk about trans existence and feminism in the last decade, give it a read

@christapeterso 7am - 11am: cake, donut, and coffee shop ice cream time
11am - 5pm: summer day off/lunch break, "let's grab some ice cream" time
5pm - 12am: after dinner dessert ice cream time
12am - 7am: late nite 7/11 run ice cream time
@kalvan1917@wan_kkkkkk@boss_on_here I haven't studied the history of British communists to know who was on which side of what, but I often see this association of Stalin with militant Soviet foreign policy, which is totally erroneous imo. Khrushchev and Brezhnev were far more belligerent than Stalin ever was
I'm having a hard time following the latest twitter storyline. So a braindead racist winning a senate seat in Maine is going to help Ken Klippenstein feel like a man again? Is that right?
People keep comparing this World Cup to the 1936 Nazi Olympics but that's really unfair because by 1936 Germany hadn't attacked any sovereign countries, assassinated any heads of state or committed any holocausts
@GuanMiZhe@juegosnoguey that's just fascism, really. it gestures at a continuation of aristocratic traditions but in reality it's a bourgeois modernist ideology just like liberalism
When I see a Falun Gong table in the mall I bid them welcome. "As religious nazi cultists who need executing immediately, you have found your true home in Canada, where people like you from all over the world gather. You have helped China by leaving it. Welcome home, scum."
As a Canadian, I am really thankful to Marxism for revealing to me that the reason my country is a multicultural KKK rally is that it is nothing but a magnet for, primarily, the most rightwing emissaries of the most reactionary segments of basically every country on earth.
I thought the exhaustive list of repetitive NYT columns about "heteropessimism" that I included in my latest essay was retrospective. Alas, they are still writing them. I criticized all the facile points she is making and more here:

This pulls out the typical trick of arguing from the position of some post-feminist utopia that we've supposedly reached. Sexual liberation happened and women are free to say no (but they shouldn't!)
@NiaFrome when there is "trouble" there is usually an obvious conflict of class interests. I've had my social world change a lot over the years as a result of my politics but it's largely people deciding to align or break with me on their own, rather than my own effort at cadre development
@NiaFrome I express my views and am open about my affiliations, I encourage people to join me in study, I've handed out copies of the manifesto etc, but I've never consciously moved anyone. I have however had people follow me on my path to the truth without any overt encouragement
