@scionwolf8837 Just 4 minutes. Honestly I've done this before in the past, but I forgot about it until yesterday when I was watching some old Splatoon 2 scrims. I saw myself attempt and fail it once mid match, after that I went right on the game to check to see if it was actually possible.
Hold right side, this forces the enemy team left, back up to left mid, find a kill on Decav, don't kill the jump to stay safe, even though we have 2 down I still pop Kraken to hold zone because it holds the enemies back and lets my team jump to our Liter. Win. #Splatoon3
@Ace_SPL Yeah it was really good. A few modes had a difficult set of jumps that let you push quicker. Outside of mid was also full of spots that required jumps to be able to push people and take space.
@notnotnotdussy0 I'm not saying that maps that restrict movement like Barnacle shouldn't exist, but instead that more maps that give better movement expression like Snapper and Triggerfish should. I just don't use Triggerfish as my main example because it is bad in almost every other aspect.
@notnotnotdussy0 You still don't understand what I'm talking about. S2 Camp Triggerfish is one of the best maps for movement expression in the entire series and Barnacle is one of the worst. Just because a map is good for competitive play doesn't mean that it is good for movement expression.
@notnotnotdussy0 I should rephrase myself, are we talking about the same thing? I'm just talking about the movement that is required to have access to these decisions. Yes you still need to make decisions like this in 3, but the movement required for it on most maps is significantly easier.
This is Miyamoto. In just a moment, at 3pm PT, we will livestream Star Fox Direct 5.6.2026. The presentation runs for approximately 15 minutes, and I would be delighted if you could take a look.
