@Pete_Collins_ No serious GM candidate was interested in the job a few years ago - which is why Breslow got the job. So the job was radioactive then. They should fire him now, let Romero have the job for the rest of the year and then Hire a new head of baseball ops for 2927 with total control
@GlennDOrdway Clown show. They have a history of doing stupid things during stressful times - throwing money at Hanley/Panda after a bad season, signing Price after losing Lester, overpaying Devers after losing Betts/Xander. What might they do now?
@T_Mulherin Tuesday game never should have been scheduled that far from Lawrence. Could have picked a HS in Waltham/Wellesley that’s halfway between the schools. To make Central do the commute twice was very unfair. And I have no rooting interest in either team.
@bcatleagle Agree. BC is lucky to get someone who sees this downtrodden program as a stepping stone. If he succeeds & he eventually is highly sought after by the big schools it means BC program is in great shape & will attract another good coach. Think Tom Davis to Gary Williams in the 1980s
@bcatleagle The most amazing thing is the administration, not just the marketing dept. underestimating the impact sports could have on the school. Given what Doug Flutie did for BC - an explosion in applications, the $$ to build Conte/expand Alumni stadium, etc. how could they screw that up?
@PatrickMoranTB@billsdaily Patriots fan here but you are right. They fired the wrong guy. You have Josh Allen so you need to surround him with weapons and do all you can to get to the Super Bowl. But their WR group was very weak; should have signed DK Metcalf or Diggs this past offseason
@4ktClassDylan @espn No comment from announcers on the false start or on Miami not going for two on their last TD to make it a six point game. McDonough so much better than Fowler.
@jaketodonnell I figured Grissom would be DFAd. Also the fact they got yet another LH hitting OF, Al with one who is not close to the MLB level, makes we wonder if Duran or Abreu (or even Masa) will be gone in the near future
@BrendanKurie@GlobeSchools Couldn’t care less who won the game but Why did Tewksbury go for 2? Scituate doesn’t kick PATs. They go for two. Tewksbury kicks the point and they are up 6 instead of 5. Scituate scores and has to convert the two point conversion or else the game is tied and goes to OT.
@bcatleagle Looking at the SEC standings it is clear the top 8 teams would win the ACC. Some in the bottom 8 (LSU??) may also have won the ACC. Given that it’s tough to be 1-7 in a league like the ACC. Hopefully BOB can do something to make them more competitive in the weak ACC.
@Chicagoarkouda Couldn’t care less who wins. He was short. Go back and watch the tape of the ref who spotted the ball. He had him marked short as the play ended. then as he ran towards the middle of the field and stopped to place the ball he gave the Bears an extra half yard. Made me laugh.
@YankeesSzn99 U youiu must not watch the games. Duran does not have a great arm. It’s a weak point in his game. Stowers would be a better fit for the Red Sox. But I would take Duran over Bellinger whose HRs will go down if he leaves Yankee Stadium.
@ChrisCotillo Seems your math is off. You say his new deal is $31 million with St. Louis pitching in $20 million but somehow you then say the Red Sox are on the hook for $21 million. Math indicates they would be in the hook for $11 million. What am I missing?
