It was a market contract pre-restructured like all PHI contracts to minimize cap hit in the active years and literally maximize kicking as much of the cap hit beyond the life of the deal as possible. No different than restructuring every year.

@BearsShowYo They can do this because they minimize present-day cap hit and borrow the max from the future. Essentially, it's the same as restructuring the contract every year to the max, but ahead of time, and it involves kicking about half the extension *beyond* the life of the deal.

The minor traffic laws against handheld cell phone use is to lead people to avoid the chance of worse driving, but of course plenty of people can actually do so without impacted driving. Would matter if he had been deemed at fault, but it was the other driver

@ProFootballTalk It's not apples to apples anyway; while racers are competing, you can't even see the uni ads. Time between plays is still part of the competition (not after it), and also it's a poor assumption to think uni ads wouldn't be noticed during a play (and on replay).
