@MrSantiZap The HHH reign of terror era of the early 2000s. Was a huge fan for a few formative years at the end of the attitude era, then slowly lost interest as the shows became more dull and predictable. Though I wasn’t sure if I was just growing up and it was always that bad.
@MSidgwick@MichaelHamflett There are a lot of ‘rules’ in booking - don’t pin the champ in a tag match, long title reigns are better, faces don’t cheat, etc etc. These have all been broken occasionally to good effect. Do you think these rule breaks often get unfair criticism, and when has it worked for you?
@andyhmurray It got instantly better once Swerve got involved and people believed Mox might actually lose - the “damn those heels stole it again!” angle doesn’t work if you know they are 100% going to win going in.
@MSidgwick potential Q&A question - do you think the tedious inevitability of Anarchy/Blood and Guts booking could be softened if they both served different feuds? E.g. Death Riders vs Osprey and friends for one and Elite vs Kenny/Swerve and friends for the other?
@MSidgwick I pretty much just watch AEW via their YouTube clips, it sounded pretty loud on there for the C2 match finishes at least. Wonder if it’s ‘fixed in editing’ or just if the crowd are only active for the highlights. They were disappointing in the women’s match clip though.
@SpartanB3126 Somewhat ironic, when centurions were released a lot of Chaos players complained that they were just loyalist versions of the aging obliterator kits (that would not be replaced for another decade).
@HiveFleetHyper If you’re after further reading/listening, Deathworlder by Victoria Hayward is a rather nice description of a world that’s in the process of being nomnomnom’d by Nids, plus a cool story with badass Catachans trying to survive the apocalypse/obvious sexual tension.
