Sam Cooper: Canadian corruption has opened the border to cartel networks

'They are bringing literally tractor loads of cocaine and methamphetamine from Mexican cartels, picking them up in Los Angeles and Sacramento and bringing that supply… up into Canada,' said @scoopercooper on Friday's episode of The Ezra Levant Show.

Sam Cooper joins the show to discuss how Canada has become a hotspot for the transnational shipment of narcotics, as a recent U.S. indictment alleges that a Canadian Border Services insider sold inspection schedules to Indo-Mexican cartel networks.

This allegedly took place at the B.C.-Washington border, one of the largest U.S.-Canada border crossings in North America, and involves Indo-transnational narcotics groups operating out of Vancouver.

“I already knew from my sources in Canadian agencies that it was a major crossing for cartels that tend to use Indo-Canadian trucking networks,” he said. “This indictment confirms what I was being told, that Canadian corruption has opened the border.”

The flow of narcotics across the border is a multinational scheme involving Mexican cartel proxies supplied and funded by Chinese Communist Party networks, in cooperation with Iranian state actors, via numerous organized crime groups in Canada, including Indo-Punjabi transnational gangs.

“They are bringing literally tractor loads of cocaine and methamphetamine from Mexican cartels, picking them up in Los Angeles and Sacramento and bringing that supply… up into Canada,” said Cooper.

The Indian transnational gangs involved include the infamous Bishnoi Gang, directed from India by its namesake, Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated.

“He has been directing, according to the U.S. indictment, assassinations of what tend to be… Punjabi, Sikh religion, often separatist gangsters in North America,” said Cooper. “Extortions have been happening across the South Asian diaspora in Canada.”

It’s reported and documented that Indian gangs have leveraged Canada’s student visa system and weak borders to send Indian “students” prepared to engage in criminal activity — including extortion and narcotics trafficking — on behalf of the gang.

“The famous political assassination of a Mr. Hardeep Nijjar in Surrey in 2023 — the Bishnoi Gang is charged in court,” said Cooper. “Bishnoi is behind it, U.S. government says.”

A joint investigation between Canada and the U.S. into this issue has been hindered by a lack of initiative from the RCMP and the possibility of corruption within the CBSA.

“The U.S. government is treating Canada as what’s called a semi-domestic national security threat concern,” said Cooper. “The U.S. government is reaching into Canada and investigating issues that Canada… either lacks the capacity or will to.”

Even with the National Energy Program and a bad Liberal government back then, my future felt open. Housing was affordable. Good jobs were within reach. You could build a life, buy a home, raise a family on one decent income, and see real progress.
Their future under 11+ years of current Liberal policies — with no reversal in sight — looks far more constrained.
Per capita decline. Skyrocketing housing costs. Grocery bills that force choices. Record debt. Healthcare waits that kill people. Manufacturing and investment fleeing. High taxes with crumbling services. Mass immigration that papers over headline numbers but strains everything for those already here.
They inherit a heavier debt load, slower wage growth, longer waits, and a country that feels like it’s managing decline instead of building opportunity.
I don’t believe my generation’s path was as narrow as what they face. The policies strangling competitiveness, affordability, and productivity have made the ladder much harder to climb.
This is not the Canada we built. If the Liberals keep doubling down, my grandchildren’s adult life will be tougher, more expensive, and less hopeful than mine was.
Grandparents see it. The gaslighting has to stop. The future they deserve is slipping away.

The Eby government is quietly negotiating another Aboriginal title agreement, potentially covering 11% of British Columbia. I spoke with Conservative MLA and Indigenous Relations critic Steve McInnis about the lack of transparency and a pattern of concerning NDP land agreements.

The Eby government, with Prime Minister Mark Carney’s blessing, is once again quietly negotiating a major Aboriginal title agreement, this time involving up to 11 percent of British Columbia in the province's mineral-rich northwest.

The proposed agreement with the Tahltan Nation could fundamentally reshape who governs and controls land and natural resources across more than 95,000 square kilometres, adding to significant concerns about land rights in the province.

To better understand what's at stake, I spoke with B.C. Conservative Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation critic, MLA Steve @McInnis_4MLA, says the public deserves to know a lot more about what @Dave_Eby is considering.

"British Columbians deserve to know exactly what's being negotiated before decisions of this magnitude are made behind closed doors," McInnis told Rebel News' @DreaHumphrey.

I’m a sixth-generation Canadian. My family has been here for generations, building this country through hard work, sacrifice, and belief in what it stood for.
Today, I fear deeply for my grandchildren’s future. The Canada they will inherit is not the one I grew up in — not even close to the country I was once willing to give my life for.
Under the current government and its WEF-aligned direction, everyday life for average citizens has become much harder. Housing is out of reach for young families. Groceries and energy costs keep climbing while real wages stagnate. Good jobs are harder to find, especially when DEI hiring and bureaucratic expansion seem to come first. Our healthcare system is in shambles, food affordability is worsening because of policy choices, and the standard of living has fallen for too many.
The rules are no longer the same. Institutions meant to protect us have been captured: media largely compliant, judiciary and Senate appointed, RCMP leadership aligned, Governor General appointed — all by those who share the agenda. Average citizens have less and less say. Democracy feels hollow when committees are performative, investigations get shut down or reset, and inconvenient truths are sealed away or delayed for years.
We’ve seen bank accounts frozen for peaceful protest, foreign interference dragged out without real accountability, wasteful spending and bailouts for connected interests, and an agenda that prioritizes global climate goals, mass immigration without proper integration, and expansive government over the needs of the people who built this place.
I’m only on X and speaking out because my grandchildren deserve better than this. They deserve a country where hard work is rewarded, opportunities exist for everyone, rights are protected equally, and the future feels hopeful — not a place where the system seems stacked against the average family.
This isn’t the Canada we inherited. We owe it to the next generations to demand it back.

STUDENT: “Actually, the Mexicans were there originally in Texas…”

KIRK: “Wrong. They stole it from lots of Indian tribes… Texas was not indigenously Mexican… there was the Cherokee. There were many different Native American tribes there. So Mexico was participating in Manifest Destiny at the behest of the Spanish crown.”

KIRK: “At some point, you have to believe in self-determination. If you can win the land, it’s yours. That is what built the West.”

STUDENT: “I can agree with that.”

KIRK: “So instead of a land acknowledgement… you should have a gratitude acknowledgement. ‘Praise God, I live in America! I’m glad!’ A gratitude acknowledgement would be nice.”

Charlie would have loved to experience America’s 250th birthday more than anyone.
