I just got back the first conviction result for a taxi driver I caught on the phone under the new TfL rules. It feels, well, weighty and much more serious than other phone driving cases. TfL rules still seem a little on the harsh side to me. It went to court, fine £200, victim surcharge £80, costs £100, 6 penalty points.
