@KittyRancher01@LizaRosen0000 As much as you might like this to be true, it isn’t. Japan has the same freedom of religion as western countries, and there are over 100 mosques in Japan. Muslims currently accounts for only 0.28% of the population of Japan, but Islam is Japan’s fastest growing religion.
@YossiBenYakar Deported back to Tunisia? That costs taxpayers money. Jail costs even more. He needs a quicker, cheaper, and more permanent solution. Build a public gallows and let him swing for other drug dealers to see. Maybe they’ll think twice.
@GuyDay1968@FanMusk39325 The USA is not a Christian nation. It has freedom of religion. But definitely keep pork in cafeterias . If Jewish people, vegetarians, and vegans aren’t complaining, then neither should Muslims.
@chewy326240@politicsusa46 I think you underestimate European resolve and the importance of millennia of history, including 2 world wars, in European culture. Your statement that “Europe is not a real place” shows how little understanding you have of the world outside your borders (typical American).
@tamartin00@teaker_u@jewishvoicelive The ancient Greeks and early Rome had hospitals called Asklepieia since the 5th century BC. Christians did not start hospitals. You'd think a Time Traveler would know that.
@ProfTerryHughes Dall-E creation by the looks of it. Are people really getting so lazy and dependent on AI that they can't come up with a single real photograph?
@ishowspeedsui First in the world, my ass. Just Google "jumping over moving car" to see hundreds of people doing it - and in many cases with a slower car, which makes it that much harder. Jackie Chan did it in Police Story in 1985.
@Markmaycott2@ProfTerryHughes How many times do people have to explain that high rebound coverage of a few colonising species after mass bleaching does not equate to a healthy reef ecosystem?
@CoralReefFish They have a good reputation with my stomach. Anyone in the Caribbean and GoM who is still eating grouper should switch to these tasty invasives.
@CustomVandal@SmindCrypto@thejackhopkins He was charged with and convicted of "falsifying business records in the first degree,” a Class E felony under New York State law (N.Y. Penal Code § 175.10). Hundreds of people have been convicted of this over the decades - it's nothing new.
ChatGPT gets a lot of use designing tourism itineraries, but can it accurately and efficiently design a higher education field trip? @ReubenShipway, @marine_conserve, and I test ChatGPT's ability to develop field course curricula. https://t.co/aaEFTjTAet
@lawalexisss@TansuYegen In the 1970s, air pollution and smog in major Japanese cities was so bad that people starting wearing masks to keep the smog out of their lungs. Decades of environmental regulations have improved the air quality but it's still not great, and Japanese people still wear masks.
@DavidUllrich202 @MJK2posse @EliotJacobson The atmosphere will not "literally explode next year" no matter how hot it gets this year. Making inaccurate and irresponsible Chicken Little statements only serves to foment climate change denial.
Are there #mangroves in the UK? No, but these salt-tolerant oaks form intertidal forests that are analogous, particularly in terms of the ecosystem services they provide, such as coastal protection, nursery habitat, and carbon sequestration.
