Alien invasive species: surveying Curly Waterweed (Lagarosiphon major) in Cloonee & Inchiquin Loughs. First detected in the lakes in 2016, control measures of this damaging aquatic plant are ongoing. It's one of 49 Invasive Alien Species listed as of particular concern in the EU
