Created in 1960 when the first Playboy club opened, the iconic Bunny suit is the first service uniform to be registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The design was created, conceived and perfected by women: including actress Ilsa Turins who came up with the one-piece design and Black American designer Zelda Wynn Valdes who worked on early versions of the suit for the Playboy Club New York in 1962.

Versions of the Playboy Bunny suit are also housed in prestigious art institutions, including The Costume Institute at the @metmuseum and the @smithsonian National Museum of American History, among others.
